Blogging can be a profitable business which requires time and investment.  Read the following points before taking the plunge:

1.  Do you want to blog as a hobby, to make a separate income from your business or do you want a blog to support your existing business?

2.  Do you want a free blog such as Blogger or WordPress.com?  Or do you want a paid subscription blog like Go Daddy or WordPress.org?

3.  You have to promote your blog posts/articles to get new views and subscribers.  Do you have Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+, Snapchat and YouTube accounts?  A lot of bloggers create separate social media accounts just for their blogs.

4.  You need a PayPal account or other electronic payment option to get paid by clients since blogging is essentially an online job and you may not meet clients in person.

5.  There are endless ways to make money from a blog or website.  Read            '30+ Ways To Make Money From Home' for some ideas.

6.  Think about if you want your log or website to have a niche or do you want to write about different topics.

7.  You will need to learn a little photography and graphic design to create high quality images on your blog/website.  Sites such as Canva offer DIY graphic design.

8.  Disclosures are important.  When writing, you have to disclose if you are getting paid or if you are receiving free product in exchange for writing your post.
