DOLLAR TREE  HAUL & GNOCCHI        REVIEW

So I decided to venture a little further away from home to start shopping at the DOLLAR TREE .  The truth is, there is another popular dollar store franchise which is less than ten minutes walk from my home. However, they are always dirty, the price tags on their items are sometimes different from when you get to the cashier and they don't get products regularly.
I was done.

Last but not least, DOLLAR TREE items start usually at a dollar and twenty five cents. Cheaper than that other dollar store.

This wasn't a full shopping trip (I usually don't make full shopping trips). I just got paper towels, gnocchi and feminine napkins.

These napkins are lavender scented.  They seem to be a dupe for the Honey Pot scented napkins.   I used these for the first time and loved the fresh feeling.

This was also the first time I tried gnocchi. I knew what it was and always said that I would try to prepare them from scratch. However, when I saw them at the DOLLAR TREE I said hey, let me see what these are about.

The directions on the packet stated that the gnocchi only needed to be boiled in water for a couple minutes. Since I'm always looking for convenient foods I made them with some lentils.

REVIEW

This was my first time tasting gnocchi.  From reading recipes,  I knew they were made of flour, potatoes and olive oil. The oil in these didn't taste like olive oil. I'm guessing maybe they made these with a more affordable oil. The gnocchi cost a dollar and twenty five cents after all.

This is what the gnocchi and lentils looked like:

I think I'll really try making these from scratch next time.
